anything to look good?

This is such a sad story.

It outlines some of the perils of our obsession with the way we look and the extent some people will go to in order to appear "attractive".

 

Of course similar stories exist in relation to various eating disorders, fad diets and many dangerous practises (including metabolic accelerators) that people engage, in order to look thinner.

As disturbing is the associated article which quotes a young woman as saying "I probably sound stupid, but I am am not really worried about the effects of tanning."
